Desk transformation: A love story
This recent project was a truly standout one: a huge, traditional partner’s desk that once belonged to my client’s father, a lawyer. Solid, imposing, and full of character, it had clearly been a centrepiece in its time. But like many pieces of its era, it was finished in a deep red varnish - rich and glossy, but simply not aligned with my client’s vision for her contemporary office space.
She didn’t want to lose the desk. She just needed it to feel like hers.
